Our History

Nottingham's Local Education Partnership (LEP) was formed in 2008; a public-private partnership between Nottingham City Council and Carillion. We were established with the purpose of building new schools across Nottingham City, under the former government's Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme.

The LEP was set up as a ten year partnership with an option for this to be extended by a further five years.

The LEP is a company limited by shares with a majority shareholding from Carillion, and shareholding by Nottingham City Council and Amber Infrastructure Limited.

The LEP has built a strong, close and vibrant partnership based upon mutual trust and respect.

It was always anticipated that our partnership would develop to cover a wider range of services and cover a wider geographical area. The partnership agreement currently covers Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

Our successful partnership has allowed us to become a procurement vehicle for the regeneration of the city. We now look to expand our range of services across the East Midlands.
